In the early hours of Friday December 21, 2012, a taxi picked up a man at the rank in Cheltenham town centre. The passenger asked to be taken to the Cross Hands in Brockworth. However, during the journey there was a disagreement between the driver and the passenger and at approximately 3am the driver pulled his vehicle over on the Shurdington Road. A wallet was stolen from a man as he stood in a queue outside Liquid Nightclub on Thursday December 27, 2012. The wallet was taken from the man at around 1.15am, the offender made off down Eastgate Street towards the Cross. The wallet was one from White Stuff and contained around £15 in cash, various cards and a driving licence. On Thursday December 6, 2012 at around 1pm 6 jars of coffee were stolen from a shop in Hesters Way Road in Cheltenham. At around 6.30pm on Tuesday August 7, three men went into a supermarket in Sheep Street, Cirencester. It is believed they took numerous bottles of champagne and spirits from the shelves - worth a total of more than £400 - and left the store with them without paying. Crime number 19143/12 | |

On the evening of Wednesday August 15 a couple pulled into a petrol station in Cricklade Road, Cirencester, in an Audi car. The man got out of the vehicle and filled up with £50 worth of fuel. The woman went into the shop, however did not pay for the fuel and they then both left. Crime number 19682/12 | At around 8pm on Monday December 17 a man took eight women’s quilted barber style coats from a shop at the Gallagher Retail Park. He has walked out of the store with the coats, staff chased after him and he has dropped all the coats into a nearby bush, the coats worth around £400 were all recovered. Between 1.20pm and 1.30pm on Saturday September 1, a man left his bike secured at the bike rack in Eastgate Street, Gloucester. He returned to find it missing, with only the bike lock (intact) left at the location. Crime number 21163/12 | On the evening of Friday August 17 a man went into a shop in Rosebery Road, Dursley, and asked the shop assistant for some change. He had £200 in notes and asked for it to be changed, firstly into £10 notes, then into 10 pence pieces. On two occasions the assistant went to a store room to check the change levels in the safe, but eventually said she could not help him. He then got angry and asked for his money back, and in the confusion he managed to take an extra £60 from the assistant. This is being treated as fraud. Crime number 19939/12 |

A bike was stolen from a bike rack in Northgate Street, Gloucester, between 3 and 5pm on Saturday August 25. Crime number 20610/12 | At around 11.50am on Friday August 17 a ring was stolen from a cabinet within an antiques centre at Gloucester Quays. CCTV shows two white men enter the antiques centre and, while one distracted a staff member, the other removed a ring from the display cabinet before both left the store. Crime number 20175/12 |

On Saturday August 25 a man approached a 79-year-old woman in the car park of a supermarket in Bishops Cleeve and asked her for directions. He distracted her from her car, and she left her handbag on the passenger seat. A woman is believed to have taken credit cards from the bag, which were then used in a number of shops around Cheltenham and Gloucester to buy goods worth several thousand pounds. This crime is being investigated in connection with a number of other similar crimes elsewhere in the county. At around 3pm on Wednesday September 12 three women went into a shop in Cheltenham Promenade. One of the women was carrying a large plastic bag, which it is suspected the women concealed three handbags worth over £500 in, before leaving the store separately with one of them taking the handbags. Shortly before 3pm on Saturday July 28 two men went into a wine merchants in Oak Street, Lechlade. One of the men distracted staff, while the other went upstairs into an office area. At around 3.45pm on Monday June 11 a young man went into a business on the Stroudwater Business Park, in Stonehouse, and asked to use the toilet. He was allowed to do so, but a member of staff then noticed he was attempting to steal a mini moto. They asked him to leave and he left empty handed. It is suspected that he concealed two bottles of champagne under his coat, before leaving the shop without paying. During the afternoon of Saturday September 1 several people went into a supermarket in St Ann Way, Gloucester. Between them they placed 30 bottles of champagne in a trolley, which they then left the store with, without paying. One man was detained by security outside the shop, and the champagne was recovered, however a man and woman managed to escape. At around 10.30am on Friday July 27 a 78-year-old woman used a chip and pin machine in a supermarket in Northgate Street, Gloucester. She forgot to remove her card, and when she returned a short time later it had been stolen. The card was subsequently used to withdraw £900 from the woman's account. It's then believed that he left the shop without paying for the items. At around 8.30am on Tuesday July 10 a man was shopping in a supermarket in Bristol Road ,Quedgeley, Gloucester. His wallet fell out of his trouser pocket and on to the floor near the tills. A woman who was shopping with some children is believed to have pointed at the wallet, directing a child to pick it up, before they left the store. After they left, staff checked CCTV footage and established that the women appeared to have secreted toiletries about their person before leaving the shop without paying for them. A woman in front of the man requested the amount as cashback but forgot to take it before it is alleged the man behind her walked up and pocketed it. Crime number 13975/12 refers.
| A CCTV image of a man police want to speak to in connection with an incident in Newent, on Thursday June 14. The man is suspected of trying to pressurise a woman into paying £80 to clean her fascia boards. The man gave the woman a business card that stated he was from ‘Alpine Tree Services’.
